This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!'... and Gon's Balls will whisper 'First... comes... rock!' Hah! Made you stare at Naruto's Marshmallow! Pushing the logo off-center to drive TheOcean insane.

This is a drawing of White Wizard Bakura that I made watching the manga ^_^

I know the colors are "wrong" but I did it before ever watching a video/image from the first series, so I had no color reference.

Hope you like it

I sooo want a plushie of him

He would, right? I was trying to make one, but didn't find were to buy the materials... I barely know this city, so I don't know where to go to find those things, doesn't matter the fact that I've lived my whole life here.

Was the first one submitted to the yugioh villians group? Because I'm sure I've seen it there.
They're both fantastic. *_*

I'm apart of that group tooooo. If you look at the group icon you can see my Pegasus cosplay.

I sometimes have a hard time seeing as to why people would submit some of the art they do...because its just so god damn awful. Ones like yours I actually bother looking at, but some of them just make me want to cry.

the thing with Touzokou on the neko porn confused me- I've never read a fan fic where Akefia was sappy...or straight. (That might be because I breeze by 80% of fanfics unless they are yaoi, though...)

I mean, the most common theme I've seen with Akefia, ESPECIALLY on dA, is raping Mariku.

I guess LK wanted to show us other ways fans can make a character extremely OOC.

Oh trust me, it exists. It is usually by the same people who write sappy tendershipping so they really don't have characterization of any of the Bakura's down.

That video was the first time I've ever heard someone say Akefia outloud and omg, it sounds just as bad as it looks.

I'm curious, why did fans start calling him Akefia?

It was either a misheard line in the raw or a mistranslated section in the scanlated manga. Either way, that name was dispelled years ago but people still use it for some stupid reason

That. It's a shame that the majority of fics are so terrible.

And augh, I know right? I cannot stand that name. I thought it came from a misheard line in the dub, though.

Ugh, I know. I just have given up on reading them. That is one of many reasons.

Really? Because it was around back when the Memory Arc was airing in Japan if I recall correctly. Although people were kind of on the fence about it.

Well basically if people can't even find where it came from, they shouldn't even use it. It is ugly sounding and ugh. Use Touzoku-ou or if you can't spell that, like me, use Thief King Bakura. (I've tried to learn to spell Touzoku-ou and I fail everytime so yep)

I can understand the appeal of using "Akefia", I suppose, in a fic, since one: using the full title "Thief King/Touzoku-ou Bakura" doesn't quite work especially if it's from a different characters perspective, in dialogue, and so on, two, it helps 'differentiate' between him and Ryou and Yami no Bakura, I guess, since all the people who use that name are derps who think they'd all ~love~ each other. It's the same reason people use "Mariku" instead of "Yami no Malik".

I still go on the ff.net yuugiou section just to see how bad it is. I'm proud to say all of the messages in my inbox there are bawwfests from fangirls whose fics I reviewed in a negative way.

I really don't know, but that's what I've heard from several people. I could be wrong, but rofl, how does someone translate something so incorrectly? It's not even close.

Yeah. And besides, his name is explicitly stated to be Bakura. Why people insist on "Akefia" is beyond me.
(ahaha, I was in a roleplay back a few years ago and learned to spell it then.)

Well they wouldn't know his name is explicitly stated to be Bakura because they're derpy fangirls who have only watched the anime and probably only the dub at that and still think they ~know the characters~. Despite Touzoku-ou not even actually being in the anime.

OK appeal wise, I will give them that but that is it. At least Mariku makes more sense.

Haha nice. The only thing in my Inbox is the 100+ messages from the "Don't be scared we all hate something" because I posted in there once.

Too many different stories for it then. I have no clue how it got to that if that is the true story. While the fandom was better, it still had some bad people so maybe they translated it?

Exactly. Even if you haven't read the manga, you can do a simple google search and oh wow, the name Akefia is proven false. Fuck, lazy people man. (Haha ah. I should probably just try but I'm lazy and I haven't seen anyone bitch at me for using TKB or Thief King Bakura yet)

Yeah, and even then, the only time you'd have to 'make the distinction' is if you're putting like all the 'Bakuras' together, which is almost always shittastic, anyway.

Oh that thread, so much stupid wank from stupid cunts. |: People who don't know anything about anything really shouldn't try to debate. So much nerdrage.

Haha, wow. Anreyla and I got into a rather rage-inducing argument with some writer on that forum.

I guess? But I still don't know where Akefia would come from.

And honestly, why would you even use it to begin with. Imo, its a really ugly name. (hahaha, that's because they're accurate. I use TKB a lot when I'm too lazy to type out "Touzoku-ou")

True facts there.

Maybe that is where all the emails came from. I'll go look at them. It should but a fun time.

No clue. I guess if it was a misheard line it would make sense but still Akefia? I tried to see if it was even a name and couldn't find crap.

Mhmm very true. Like I said, the first time I heard it said outloud was in the LK video and it just sounds so gross. Like the vowels don't balance the constants and that K is just awkward.

I wouldn't say the name Akefia is ugly but it's not his name. People can't even always spell it right. Sometimes it's spelled as Akeifa. I just use Touzokuou(It really isn't that hard to spell.)

Hey people.
I've been reading this thread for a while and love all your stuff. It's good to know Yu-Gi-Oh still has some sane fans out there.
I think the name came from the dub where Touzoku said 'I am a thief and a stealer of souls.' or something along those lines.
People heard: 'I am Akefia, stealer of souls.' Sorry if I got that wrong but I've heard that's where it's from.

It's also weird how he pronounced it. Maybe it's me pronouncing it wrong, but I always say 'ah-KEE-fee-UH'. Am I the only one that does that?

And really, I rarely use Akefia anymore, only in AUs. And let's face it, we were all derpish fangirls some time in our life, no matter how much the forum trolls 'afraid' of you. And I just use 'Mariku' as something the others use to make him diffrent from Malik- personally, I think Yami no Malik would hate it himself and want a totally diffrent name, but he's kind of stuck with it- I mean, have you ever tried to get someone to call you a diffrent name when you were a kid? It doesn't work D:

I'll keep lapsing into saying 'Akefia' though. When in ff, do as the derps do!

Why would Yami no Malik want another name? He feels he is the real Malik Ishtar, the true personality, the real identity, he'd WANT that name.

I'm pretty sure that's where it's from, yeah. I think it sounds pretty ugly, too, and even more, if it is a dub line that it's from, that just makes it even worse.

Yeeeah our last long debate there basically ended in her saying she doesn't believe there's a line between sanity and insanity, lolol, and her insisting they're fake, pretty much, and that a person only needs to have to 'function' to be 'normal' :| And that subjective morality is just ~morality you don't hold to yourself~. Herp derp.
